Terms of Use
Effective 18 October 2026 · Applies to the Blocky Poppy app on Android and iOS
These Terms of Use ("terms") are an agreement between you and tallpinetree, the independent developer of Blocky Poppy ("we", "us", "our"). They apply when you download, install or play the Blocky Poppy app ("the app"). By using the app you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The app
Blocky Poppy is a free puzzle game with a classic endless mode, adventure levels and a collection of bonus mini-games. It is supported by ads and may offer an optional one-time purchase to remove most ads. Some features need an internet connection (for example ads and purchases); the game itself can be played offline.
2. Who can use it
The app is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for any purchase you make.
3. Your licence
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, in line with these terms and the rules of the app store you got it from.
4. What you may not do
- copy, modify, translate, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or any part of it;
- decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly allows it;
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other notices;
- cheat, exploit bugs, modify game data, or use bots, scripts or other automation;
- interfere with the app's ads, for example by clicking ads you're not interested in, generating fake views or clicks, or blocking ads to obtain rewards;
- attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the app, its servers or its data;
- use the app in any way that breaks the law or the rights of others.
5. Purchases
- "Remove Ads" is an optional one-time purchase. It turns off banner and interstitial ads on the store account you bought it with. Optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch (for example for a hint or to continue a game) remain available.
- Purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store and are subject to their terms, payment methods and prices (which may include local taxes). We never see your payment details.
- A purchase can be restored on a new install or device with the same store account, using "Restore purchases".
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its refund policy. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, the ads it removed may return.
- Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under consumer law to cancel or get a refund.
6. Ads
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob and its partners. We choose the ad formats and how often they appear, but not the individual ads. We are not responsible for the content of ads or for the products, services or websites they promote; any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser. How ad data is handled, and how to change your ad choices, is explained in the Privacy Policy.
7. Progress, scores and virtual items
Your progress, scores, stars, achievements, hints and other in-game items are stored on your device. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are part of the licence in section 3, not property you own. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data or changing devices may permanently erase them; we cannot recover them for you.
8. Ownership and feedback
The app, including its code, design, levels, graphics, sounds, the name "Blocky Poppy" and its logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. The app's font is used under the SIL Open Font License. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
If you send us ideas or feedback, you allow us to use them freely, without any obligation to you.
9. Changes to the app
We may update the app, add, change or remove features, levels or mini-games, adjust difficulty, scoring or how often ads appear, or stop offering the app, at any time. Some updates may be needed to keep using the app. If we remove the "Remove Ads" benefit you paid for while the app is still offered, we will provide a reasonable alternative or tell you how to get a refund where the law requires it.
10. Disclaimer
The app is provided free of charge "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device, or that progress can never be lost, and we disclaim all implied warranties, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some countries do not allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, progress, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us through the app store in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 10 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Ending these terms
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example through ad fraud or cheating. Sections 7, 8, 10, 11, 14 and 15 continue to apply after these terms end.
13. App store terms
If you got the app from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. If you got it from the Apple App Store:
- these terms are between you and us, not Apple; we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation;
- Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection, or intellectual property claims; we handle those;
- you confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Where these terms conflict with the store's rules for your use of the app, the store's rules apply.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a problem, please email us first; most issues can be solved quickly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the courts of Nepal have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country and may also bring a claim in your local courts.
15. General
- Changes to these terms: we may update these terms. The new version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and significant changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
- Whole agreement: these terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
- Severability: if part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer: we may transfer these terms to someone who takes over the app; you may not transfer them without our consent.
